Service Description

Symmetry in Folk Art, Ages 11 - 14 Week 1: We'll immerse ourselves in traditional Scandinavian folk art symbols as well as Indiana symbols all around us! We'll touch on their meanings and what they mean to us -- how they make us feel connected to our community. Kids will create symmetrical artwork using silhouette stencils and paint in traditional Scandinavian folk art colors. Basic color theory and composition principles will be discussed. Students will explore handmade folk art design principles white embracing the warm comforting spirit of hygge - a Danish concept of coziness, togetherness and well-being with an Indiana touch. Bring your friends! Minimum students is 3. If 3 students have not signed up, we will need to cancel the class.
